  1. Day 1 introduction- Students explore google cultural sites and view the two groups of family portrait examples, and teacher shows discussion question video, while reading off the questions

  2. Students start planning the style of their paintings with sketches and they should pick the type of paint that they want to use( plans must be well thought out and approve)

  3. Beginning of paintings start with canvas or base of portraits and pre-drawings, last day to approve sketches for paintings.

  4. Students continue paintings with teacher watching and discussing paintings with students while they work.S

  5. Studio day

  6. Students pause their portraits and put them up for a class critique so they can discuss the positive aspects of each portrait and discuss where improvements should be considered.

  7. Studio day

  8. Finish paintings today and discuss with teacher what your reflection should include

  9. Write reflections today( either typed or hand written they must be legible)

  10. Day 10 critique/discussion- artist reflection due
